Camille Miceli is known for creating entertaining and enjoyable fashion shows, and for her first Pucci show, she chose to invite guests to Florence, the brand’s birthplace.
The open-air catwalk was set up on the banks of the river Arno at the rowing association Canottieri di Firenze, with the stunning backdrop of the Ponte Vecchio and a full moon adding a romantic touch.
The collection drew inspiration from the moon, with translucent and iridescent crackle textures, silk twill laminated with a layer of gold foil, and frosted effects on ripstop.
The collection also featured round-shaped balloon silhouettes paying homage to the Space-Age look.
While Miceli explored the theme of air and its importance as both a metaphor for freedom and environmental concern, the show’s first look was a flowing parachute-like caftan worn by a model standing on a canoe making its way down the Arno.
Miceli doesn’t like to be stuck in a format and always surprises her audience with new experiences, leaving us to wonder what she will come up with next season.
